We Live in a Beautiful World

Well, this is going to be the last blog for a while! I’ve loved working with everyone through this website over the last 3 years, and now I’m reinventing myself again! This time in a different field – Nutrition, Health and Meditation!

I love helping people, and this gives me another opportunity to use the skills I’ve learnt in photographing people, in a different way. I will always be a photographer though – I can’t help it! For the past 25 years I’ve helped people from the outside in – and now I’m helping them from the inside out! Funny how things work out!

Don’t worry – the blogs will stay here as a resource, and this is a chance for you to go back through them and read them again, or check out the ones you might have missed. I find when I’m learning anything new, if I go back over it later, there is all sorts of stuff which wasn’t relevant to me at the time, that means something to me now! Use the search function to find what you need!

I hope to add more info in the future when I feel the urge! But right now, I need some time to follow my other dreams.

If you have questions, or need help, I am still at the end of the contact form – please do submit your question and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

And remember, as it says above, “We live in a beautiful world” – so go out there and photograph it!

The header photo above was taken at Wynwood Walls in Miami – if you get the chance to visit, this is a must for photography! It’s several acres of industrial buildings that house everything from tyre garages to art studios. All the walls are regularly painted with amazing art – some of which is breathtaking, and some of which is just bizarre! Its wonderful to see, and amazing to use as backdrops for a shoot.

Here are a few examples of the kind of backgrounds you will see there.

Wynwood Walls, Miami is such an inspiring place!

And if you can’t get to Miami, I hope these pictures will inspire you to look for all sorts of different backgrounds – you don’t have to have perfect beaches and woodland – run down buildings can look amazing. Or try getting out your paintbrush and making your own!

As it says above, it really is that simple – don’t overthink photography – just shoot what you like – it’s so easy to enhance your pictures now with Lightroom, or by using your phone. The most important thing is “SEEING” something. Take time to look at everything around you, look closely and see what’s really there. Enjoy the experience and have fun!

Thanks Everyone for being such inspiring, enthusiastic people to work with – keep up the good work, and remember I am still happy to answer your questions and talk to you about photography!
